Nothing under €1,000 scans 16mm. A lab scan costs a few tens of euros per roll, so a scanner pays for itself around ten to fifteen rolls in.

Sellers price in their own currency. Converted amounts are approximate, at rates on 3 August 2026.

We hope to inspire somebody to build the scanner this table is missing.

Home cine developing sat still for decades until we built Fränk to move it. Scanning has not moved at all. Nothing under €1,000 will touch 16mm and the next real step up from a €459 machine costs five thousand euros more.

Fränk is proof that this market is worth building for.
