Perfect light Source for Black & White Reversal (Super 8 Film Processing Aid)
This light source is meant to assist in the black-and-white reversal process for Super 8 film using the Vintage Visual REEL – Super 8. As the REEL – Super 8 features two cylindrical film holders, the film on the inner holder can be exposed for the second exposure using this light.
It delivers a stable and uniform output, ensuring that the film is evenly exposed during the reversal step. The compact and robust housing makes it a practical tool for film processing and other photographic applications.
Usage tip:
For the second exposure during reversal, set the light’s color temperature to 2400 K and intensity to 50 %. This provides approximately the same light level—at close range—as a 100–150 W incandescent lamp at 45–80 cm. Expose the REEL – Super 8 from both inside and outside, rotating the reel to achieve even exposure.
