I am Arno Peever, an engineer, a traveler and a photographer. I started with Vintage Visual because I love taking photos on film and I want to share this experience with others.
Film photography has been gaining popularity over the years, and major photographic equipment manufacturers such as Kodak and Fujifilm are increasingly coming out with new films that have been out of production in the meantime. But analog cameras remain discounted.
Here comes along Vintage Visual. Since I have a degree in mechanical engineering, collecting and maintaining 20-30 year old cameras is my hobby. This is unlike many other photographers who fear the technical risks that come with old cameras.
So I thought, why not offer my well-maintained cameras to other people interested in analog photography, to contribute to the development of the community. By asking a reasonable price, we can buy more cameras and people, including myself, can rent them for use.
Our start has been rather quiet, but we do have long-term plans. Our goal is to provide the accessories and knowledge needed to deal with analog photography. We want to help both beginners who are taking the first steps in the field as well
