Not all Paterson tanks are the same.
There used to be a time when Paterson made a different type of central column. Using an old Paterson tank column with AGO Film Processor may result in failure of film developing. The shaft head of AGO may not reach the central column knobs of old type. This adapter is to be used with older type central columns.
How to check if you have an older version of Paterson tank and if you need to use the adapter?
- Turn on AGO
- Attach funnel by itself to your AGO shaft
- Hold your Paterson central column in your hand and test if by trying to attach it to the shaft the shaft head connects to knobs inside the column.
- If the motor doesn’t turn the central column an adapter must be used.
Adapter is included in every AGO Film Processor package. If you need more or have lost yours then this STL file can be used to print a new adapter. Alternatively you may purchase the Funnel & Rear Stand Kit which includes 3 pieces of adapter.
