Active Time-Temperature Compensation
Designed with Active Time-Temperature Compensation, the AGO film developing machine continuously monitors the chemical temperature inside your tank and automatically adjusts development time to compensate for any drop or rise in temperature. Whether you’re doing black and white film developing or color film processing, this feature ensures you get clean, perfectly developed negatives every time.
Get perfect negatives with every development.
AGO doesn’t actively heat the chemicals, but you only need to set the correct temperature at the start. From there, this automatic film processor handles adjustments for you, giving you flexibility and control without the need to constantly watch the thermometer or manually change timings during the development process.
Automatic Agitation
AGO features both horizontal rotary agitation and vertical stick agitation modes, giving you options for every type of film processing. We typically recommend the rotary method for its chemical efficiency and compatibility with the time-compensation system, but you’re free to adjust agitation speed and intervals to your personal preferences. This level of control makes AGO a home film processor that mimics professional lab results. A built-in alert system notifies you before each step, helping you stay on track for precise development.
A timely alarm alerts you before the next developing step ensuring you are prepared at the right time for the next chemical.
Less Chemical Consumption
Thanks to its rotary design, AGO can reduce chemical usage by up to 60% depending on your tank size and process. This makes it a cost-effective film processor for frequent use, whether you’re developing a single roll or a full tank of film. It’s an ideal choice for photographers looking for an auto film processor that saves both time and resources.
Choose the tank for your use case to benefit.
Compatible with Paterson Super System 4
AGO works seamlessly with all Paterson multi-reel tanks, from the smallest one-reel setup to the largest 8-reel version. You can develop up to 8 rolls of film at once or even process photographic paper with a special reel from Vintage Visual. It improved my film development so much
Andy –
I like how the AGO wraps temperature compensation, timer and agitation functions together in a compact form. I have developed about 10 rolls of film with the AGO and it has really simplified a lot of the process and freed my hands up to do other tasks while it works
Ivan –
Makes photo development a lot easier
Olly –
ItÕs compact which is great. It manages the time compensation of the development for both black and white and colour making managing processing film much easier and removes the element of doubt!

The Ago film processor is an incredibly well thought out tool for developing film that I immediately found useful even as a first time film developer.
I find that a lot of niche products like this are great in principle but lack execution; however, the Ago processor is incredibly well thought out with even details like a web interface for adding/removing custom programs. I saw that one review mentioned that they didnÕt like the USB-C port coming un-covered, and my unit came with a covered USB-C port.
This is a wonderful and well thought out product. It is immediately clear that the inventor and engineers behind this have done an absolutely amazing job. This product makes developing film far easier and more consistent and the results are just incredible.
