How to use REEL 4×5

Loading instructions

 

Insert film into the reel carefully while bending the film. Avoid scratching the film against centerpiece hooks. This film holder can hold up to 4 sheets of 4×5 film.

1. Place the reel vertically on a surface and insert the film.
2. Push the film in until it is secured behind the hook.
3. Rotate the reel at 90° degrees and repeat the process with other films.

Note:

Ilford sheet films such as HP5+ is easy to scratch. To avoid scratching your film during loading and unloading, practice using your thumb to lift the center hook slightly off the film, so the thumb is partially between the film and the hook.

Troubleshooting

 

Streaks on my film or line running across the film

1. Make sure you have placed the emulsion side towards the center of the reel.
2. Make sure you’ve used the amount of chemical in chemical guidance.
