Issues with 8-Reel Tank – Films Under-Developed at the Bottom

If your films from the very bottom of the 8-reel tank were under-developed or showed other issues, here are possible causes and solutions:

Potential Issue 1

The problem may be caused by using the AP Photo reel at the very bottom of the tank.
In the bottom two placements, use only the original Paterson reels, as the AP reel might get stuck against the tank wall.

Potential Issue 2

Make sure you’ve used enough developer for the tank size.
