AGO Battery Troubleshooting
Having issues with your AGO battery? This guide covers the three most common battery-related problems: the indicator showing empty when the battery is full, the battery not charging, and the AGO not turning on or restarting unexpectedly.
Battery Not Showing Full
There is a small bug in software version v6.4 where the battery indicator may show empty even if the battery is fully charged. If this happens, unplug the charging cable and reconnect it. The indicator should then show full charge.
This issue is fixed in the latest firmware update.

Battery Not Charging
Step 1 Shake the AGO and listen
Gently shake your AGO. A faint metallic ball sound is completely normal and comes from the tilt sensor. A bigger, loose-sounding rattle is not normal and indicates a hardware issue. If you hear this, contact support@vintagevisual.eu.
Step 2 Check the battery voltage
Hold the right arrow button until green diagnostic data is shown on the screen, then check the following:
- A full battery should read above 3500 mV
- Plug in the charger and check if USB mV shows a reading, confirming the AGO is receiving power
- If there is no USB mV reading, try a different charging cable and adapter
AGO Not Turning On or Restarting
Step 1 Shake the AGO and listen
Gently shake your AGO. A faint metallic ball sound is normal. A louder, loose-sounding rattle indicates a hardware issue. If you hear this, contact support@vintagevisual.eu.
Step 2 Check the battery voltage
Hold the right arrow button until green diagnostic data is shown, then check the following:
- Battery voltage above 3500 mV means the battery is full
- Attach the charging cable and check for a USB mV reading
- If not charging, test with a different cable and adapter
