ADOX Scala 50 BW 135/36

ADOX Scala 50 is a fine-grain, ISO 50 black and white film designed from the ground up for reversal processing — producing a positive transparency rather than a negative. Process it with the ADOX Scala Processing Kit and you get a viewable B&W slide: sharp, detailed, and ready for projection or scanning on a light table.

At ISO 50, the speed demands careful exposure and good light, but rewards both with exceptional sharpness and a grain structure that borders on invisible at normal viewing distances. The tonal curve is tuned for reversal — good highlight separation, deep blacks, and a smooth midtone transition that suits architectural subjects, still life, and any scene where fine detail matters.
