What sets AGO apart
AGO Film Processor
Develop film at home, effortlessly.
AGO is a compact rotary processor for black & white and color film. It manages agitation, temperature and timing. Prepare your chemistry and pour it in. Press start and walk away. It runs one or two rolls at a time, up to eight in a Paterson 8-reel tank, saving up to 60% of your chemistry.
Built-in programs for B&W, C-41, E-6, ECN-2, and RA-4 paper, ready out of the box. Create your custom programs over WiFi.
Develops 35mm and 120 out of the box. Add a dedicated reel for 110, sheet film up to 8x10, Super 8, or RA-4 paper prints up to 12x16.
AGO has all major chemistry programs included: Adox, Arista, Bellini, Cinestill, Flic Film, Fuji Hunt, Ilfocolor, Ilford, Jobo, Kodak, and Unicolor.
New chemistry programs are added over time through free firmware updates.
The processor, the modified Paterson funnel and rear stand, a USB-C charging cable, and a quick-start guide.
Including tank option: a Paterson 2-reel tank, two auto-load reels, a tank lid, and a stir stick.

Automatic Agitation
AGO lets you control how your film is agitated, with stick, rotary, and stand modes. You set the speed.
Use rotary mode and let AGO manage the whole process.
Want more control? Stick mode is supported too.
A built-in alarm alerts you when it’s time to step in.
Rotary Processing
With horizontal rotary agitation, AGO uses up to 60% less chemistry than manual methods.
Fewer chemicals to buy, less waste, and an overall cleaner workflow.
Compatibility
AGO is compatible with all Paterson Super System 4 tanks. You can develop from just one roll of film up to eight rolls at once.
Already own a Paterson tank? You can use it with AGO as long as you have the AGO funnel included.
Custom Programs
Everyone’s workflow is a little different, so AGO lets you make it your own.
Create and upload custom processing programs from your computer or phone, or fine-tune any existing preset to fit your exact preferences.
Large format photography and analog printing
AGO supports 4×5, 5×7, and even 8×10 film reels.
You can print RA-4 color or black & white paper prints right from the comfort of your home setup.

Frequently asked questions
The things photographers ask us most.
AGO doesn't heat your chemicals. You bring your chemistry to its normal start temperature first, with a water bath or sous vide. From there AGO measures the temperature continuously and adjusts the development time as the chemistry naturally cools, giving you perfect negatives. With black and white, AGO also helps when you are developing in a hot climate.
Yes, developing E-6 slide film with AGO is straightforward. Warm your chemistry to the temperature on the chemical datasheet, and aim 1 to 2 degrees above it to counter the natural temperature drop during the cycle. AGO handles the rest.
One tip: wrap a towel around your Paterson tank to slow the temperature drop even further.
AGO works with all Paterson Super System 4 tanks. Every AGO ships with the modified Paterson funnel needed to use them, so you can pair it with a Paterson tank you already own. Choose the without tank option at checkout if you already have one.
It does not work with Jobo, AP, or Yankee tanks, and the older Paterson "Tank System" model is not compatible.
You can run any size Paterson tank, from a single reel up to the Multi-Reel 8. The Multi-Reel 8 takes up to eight rolls of 35mm, or five rolls of 120, on roughly one litre of chemistry, and smaller tanks use proportionally less.
Yes. You can either change the default program to push or pull, or build your own custom program in the web interface for any film and developer combination.
Yes. New chemistry profiles and improvements arrive as free over-the-air firmware updates over WiFi, so your AGO gets better the longer you own it. The wider AGO ecosystem is growing too, with new reels and accessories added over time.
Anything you can do on a Jobo, you can do on AGO, at a fraction of the cost. AGO handles rotary processing across every format, from 35mm and 120 medium format to large format sheet film and even Super 8.
A sous vide only holds the water bath at temperature. AGO does the developing, handling agitation, step transitions and time compensation, all unattended. Used together they make a great home darkroom kit.
AGO is designed and assembled in Tallinn, Estonia, so EU consumer protection and warranty apply. It comes with a two-year warranty from delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty is transferable and needs proof of purchase.
No. AGO is built to remove the stress of temperature drift. Start your chemistry within the C-41 developing range, around 35 to 40°C (95 to 104°F), and AGO measures the temperature throughout the cycle, extending each step as the chemistry cools. This is where AGO shines. You get clean, neutral negatives without babysitting a thermometer or chasing an exact temperature, the precise part is handled for you.
